Are you Cycle Synching?

Are you cycle synching? Did you know that PMS isn’t normal nor is PCOS or other symptoms of imbalanced and wounded hormone health? You do not need to suffer! Pain and discomfort are not “just part of being a woman.” You can heal your PMS by learning how to synchronize your cycle with your daily life. I wish I had learned about this 20 years ago.

There are 4 phases to your cycle.
💁🏻‍♀️Folicular
💃🏻Ovulatory
🤸🏻‍♂️Luteal
👸🏽Menstrual

In the first half of your cycle an increase in estrogen levels lead to increased seratonin levels, prompting outward focus and caring for others. During the second half of the cycle estrogen plummets as does seratonin, resulting in more inward focus and self-care.

Cycle synching is a way of tuning deeply into the language of your body and nourishing it based on where in these 4 phases you’re living from. By curating your diet and exercise, even your social and work life, for what phase you’re in you can get your cycle to work for you instead of against you.

I like printing out a hard copy calendar (usually I do 3 months of tracking) that I color code using a different color for each cycle. Then I print out the handy PDF I created outlining all the behaviors, foods, and movement practices that will align with each phase.

There are some great apps out there but I like calendarizing my cycle and color coding it so I can glance at my hard copy and see where I’m at. I prefer this to using my phone than an app…saves me the screen time and I just keep it on my desk where I can reference it easily. When I travel I bring it with me along with the PDF outlining all the foods and habits that will support me in each phase. This is life changing stuff! It’s one of the many tools I offer in the NEWOMAN program to optimize your life and become the best version of yourself! 💕
