Greetings!

I was so fortunate to grow up around food in a family and a life that centered around the joys of eating and serving.  My background is dynamic and my life abundant.  All my experiences have brought me to this point, in a position to share all which I’ve learned on my journey.

I grew up in my parent’s Italian restaurant called Mileti’s in Park City, Utah. I can honestly say that I spent more time there than I did at home or in school. This was the foundation of my understanding of and passion for food. My experience here eventually parlayed into other opportunities to expand and hone my craft and I was lucky enough to cook under some of Park City, Utah’s finest chefs. Eventually I opened my own restaurant in Guatemala on Lake Atitlan. I moved back to the US in 2009 and have since shifted my focus from fine dining and catering to nutrition and wellness.

All people deserve to eat healthful, delicious food and be supported by a healthy body and this is my passion.  I’ve changed my career and my life so that I could be in a position to teach others how to heal and enjoy optimum vitality through breath and meditation, nutrition, and movement.  All of my skills, experiences, and knowledge have distilled down to this purpose; to empower others to enjoy life more fully and become the best version of themselves.

I’ve experienced some challenging and transformative health concerns of my own like adrenal fatigue, anxiety, and clinical depression.  Through a long and somewhat arduous process I learned the discipline, patience, and deep listening that I needed in order to begin healing.  Helping others on their healing journeys serves my own wellness and truly makes my heart sing.  The more I take the seat of the teacher the more I return to studentship.

I have devoted many years to my yoga practice and to teaching this ancient wisdom to balance and vitality.  My mentor, teacher, and dear friend Tiffany Wood set me on my path in a 100 hour Anusara immersion and teacher training and from there I continued with a 200 hour teacher training with the Yandara Institute.

In June of 2019 I took certified to teach Foundation Training.  I am currently one of 8 certified instructors in the state of Utah.

Foundation Training is a series of movements and engaging postures developed by Dr. Eric Goodman. The practice aims to alleviate pain, especially back pain, caused by years of compression, sedentary work life, and over-all poor movement habits. By re-strengthening (or I would even say re-awakening) the posterior chain we can communicate to our body where to deal with gravity healthfully, using large muscles and aligned joints. I have seen results with my clients, and perhaps more importantly, felt the results in my own body! This is groundbreaking and I’m excited to share it!

I have also made a disciplined and conscious effort to better understand nutrition and different dietary theories.  I am a graduate of The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest nutrition school, and I also took The Science of Raw Food Nutrition course from Drs. Rick and Karin Dina in June, 2014 at The Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, California.  I am a certified holistic wellness coach and received this credential from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

It is a great honor and joy to share what I have learned with you!
